Mary Beth Reed is an Associate Attorney at Hatch Rockers Immigration in Durham, North Carolina, where she practices immigration law. She is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
Before joining Hatch Rockers, Mary Beth served as the Walter E. Dellinger III Memorial Fellow in the North Carolina Office of the Solicitor General. She also worked as an immigration and family law attorney with JusticeMatters, a nonprofit organization in Durham.
Mary Beth graduated magna cum laude from Duke University School of Law in 2021. While in law school, she was a member of the Duke Law Journal and Moot Court Board. Her most impactful law school experience was representing a family in their asylum case as part of the Duke Immigrant Rights Clinic.
Prior to law school, Mary Beth taught English in Spain through the U.S. Fulbright Program. Mary Beth graduated magna cum laude from Williams College, where she majored in Spanish and Political Economy. During college, she studied abroad in Córdoba, Spain.
Mary Beth is originally from San Diego, California, where she developed her passion for working with the immigrant community. She now lives with her spouse and cat in Durham.
