Last month, Patrick Hatch, Jack Rockers, and Evelyn Smallwood of Hatch Rockers Immigration attended the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s (AILA) National Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. While there, the attorneys heard dozens of panel presentations from some of immigration law’s leading legal minds. Patrick, as the Treasurer on the AILA Carolinas Chapter Executive Committee, planned the Chapter’s annual breakfast and meeting. Also as part of his role as Treasurer for the Chapter, he attended the American Heritage Awards, where the Carolinas Chapter was recognized for their support of the American Immigration Council. Patrick also attended his first meeting as a member of the AILA USCIS Headquarters Liaison Committee. He is looking forward to serving in that capacity during the coming year. Jack met with experts on firm management so that Hatch Rockers could increase our capacity while continuing to offer the highest quality legal representation to our clients. Evelyn focused on broadening her knowledge of asylum and refugee law, to improve her representation of asylum seekers in North Carolina, and was officially presented with the AILA Carolinas Chapter 2016 Pro Bono Award.
